Bachelor of Theology and Biblical Studies
(LTB40)

Aimed at all those people who want to prepare to be leaders, teachers or pastors of the ministry, developing moral values ​​supported by biblical guidance. The Bible will be studied from its historical, cultural and religious context to provide the student with the necessary tools to know, interpret, and spread the messages of its different books. In addition, the student will learn the concept of God, the Doctrines as presented in the Bible with Theological knowledge, which will allow him to face the different scenarios of today's society, with responsibility and ethics, contributing to spiritually enrich the participants of a Christian community.

Objectives

 

Formar y capacitar al estudiante en las ciencias bíblicas y teológicas preparándolo para la enseñanza y transmisión de la palabra de Dios con conocimiento de la historia y las diferentes épocas de la Iglesia, teniendo la oportunidad de proseguir estudios de postgrado en educación Teológica Superior, en Seminarios e Instituciones acreditadas por ATS.

This program is offered to the student who wishes to prepare himself in biblical-theological-ministerial-educational knowledge, with a program of four (4) academic years, at the higher level. This requires a minimum of approval of 124 credit hours, (The credits of the Associate's program or its equivalent taken at Revelation University are transferable). To obtain the Bachelor's degree, the student is required to complete and successfully pass two semesters of Christian Service in a total of 96 hours. These have a value of 1 hour/credit, it is a graduation requirement. This Christian Service is supervised, the student must do it in churches and communities, in various areas of the ministry, in each of the concentrations. The student can do the Bachelor's program by choosing the elective and concentration courses to meet his needs, however, it is important that the student previously considers the recommended courses in the specialization he is studying.

Prerequisites:​
  • Be of legal age (18 years or older).

  • Have a High School diploma or GED as a minimum degree of study or be a graduate of an Associate's program from Revelation University (for Transfer).

  • Official High School transcript or similar.

  • Christian calling.

  • Complete and sign the application, return it with the required requirements including the essay requested on the form.

  • Submit 3 letters of recommendation, 1 from the spiritual mentor pastor, 1 from a friend, 1 from a coworker or teacher.

  • Know how to use the computer and other technological tools to conduct research, send and receive emails, etc.

Graduation Requirements
  • Complete a minimum of 124 total hours of the chosen program, including transferred credits and those earned at Revelation University. With a GPA of 2.0 or higher.

  • Have studied a minimum of 15 hours in Core or Matrix subjects.

  • Have studied a minimum of 18 hours in Bible and Theology subjects.

  • Have studied a minimum of 36 hours in the General Studies area.

  • Have studied a minimum of 27 hours in the Concentration area of ​​your interest.

  • Have studied 21 hours of Ministry subjects.

  • Have studied 6 hours in elective subjects from any area.

  • Have completed 2 semesters of Christian Service, 96 hours total, 1 credit.

Learning Application

Upon completion of their studies, graduates should be able to:

  • Act professionally with responsibility, ethics and Christian values, in solidarity with the community in social problems.

  • Have solid foundations in Theology, as well as in Biblical interpretation.

  • Manage and execute projects or proposals for ecclesiastical institutions.

  • Integrate your Biblical and Theological knowledge with your life in the ministry.

  • Disseminate to the people of your church the doctrines about God from a biblical and theological perspective, in a way that is easy to understand.

  • Write articles, books, manuals, classes, to instruct believers, students, where their spiritual maturity is highlighted.

  • Train and form work groups that transmit moral values ​​and biblical knowledge.

  • Teach in educational institutions, in various cultural contexts of Christian affinity, imparting knowledge in the area of ​​theology and biblical knowledge.

  • Act as pastors and leaders of Christian communities, impart Christian education as directors or educators in some area of ​​the ministry.

  • Provide guidance and advice in the area of ​​the family.

  • Coordinate family projects in the social framework aimed at different groups: people with different abilities, drug addicts, alcoholics, immigrants, extreme poverty, etc.
