On August 12, Paterson, New Jersey, took a significant step toward a more resilient and supportive community with the opening of the United by The Kingdom Community Center (UBTKCC), located at 442 Main St., Paterson, NJ 07501. This new center was founded with the mission of empowering individuals and families to live healthy and safe lives in all dimensions: mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual. Its purpose is to provide essential tools and resources that foster personal growth and resilience in communities and homes.
UBTKCC relies on a team of proactive volunteers and strategic public-private partnerships to offer food distribution services, capacity-building initiatives, and prevention programs. Through these actions, the center seeks to safeguard the future of those it serves and preserve the fundamental elements of a dignified life, because everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive. The center calls on the community to join a shared journey to build a stronger, healthier, and more equitable society for all.
This project is the result of the efforts of a group of visionaries who foster a culture of service and cooperation. Its founders include Pastor Julio Escotto, Wendy Montas, Dr. Narciso Montas (Founder of Revelation University), Dr. Dorcas Iris de Jesús (Executive Vice President of Revelation University), Dr. Sara de Bernal, and Pastor Jessica Arboleda. Special thanks are extended to Claribel Ramírez (Information Systems Coordinator at Revelation University), Fallon Ortega, Nufergi Berbesi, Viayra Tavárez de Pia Rochetta, and Raúl Almendáriz (Graphic Advisor at Revelation University) for their commitment and dedication.
Revelation University is proud to be part of this community service initiative and to support the project as a demonstration of its service and commitment to the Kingdom. This collaboration reflects the conviction that higher education has a transformative role in society, especially when aligned with values of service, justice, and solidarity.
The inauguration was attended by prominent figures and authorities from the area, highlighting the importance of this initiative for the community. We were honored to have the presence of Paterson Mayor Andre Sayegh, who cut the ribbon to formally mark the center's opening. Also present were Bergen County Commissioner Germaine Ortiz; Paterson Vice Mayor and NJ Dominican Day Parade Chair Elsa Mantilla; the 2025 NJ Dominican Day Parade Queens and Kings; representatives from the Dominican Consulate in New Jersey; and various partner organizations such as the Marisol Rivas Foundation, Supporting Stronger Lives Foundation, Women Breaking Limits, and Alzando de Nuestras Alas, among others.
UBTKCC's vision is clear: to build a stronger, healthier, and more equitable community for all, driven by collaboration between public, private, and community entities. With the support of Revelation University and other institutions, this center aims to become a hub for nutrition, capacity-building, and prevention programs, always with a focus on the dignity and holistic well-being of each person.
