NON-DISCRIMINATION
Revelation University Inc., seeks a diverse university community, admits students of any sex, race, age, color, religious creed, nationality, ethnic origin, motor, hearing or visual disability, does not tolerate discrimination against students, faculty or staff, in any of its programs or functions, including, but not limited to, admission, educational programs and employment. The rights, privileges and activities granted to students are granted equally to all students who have been admitted and agree to respond immediately and effectively to any reports of possible discrimination in the above.
STUDENT RECORDS DISCLOSURE POLICY
The Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) grants students certain rights to their records, such as:
-
The right to inspect and review their educational records within the first 45 days of Revelation University receiving their access request. The student must submit a written request to the Academic Director with a precise description of the records they wish to inspect.
-
The right to request the correction of records they believe are incorrect or inaccurate. To do so, the student must clearly request the specific portion of the record they wish to modify from the Academic Director.
-
Disclosure of Information from Educational Records: The Registrar's Office will not disclose any personally identifiable information from a student's educational record without the student's written consent, except to the following individuals or for the following purposes:
1. To the student's parents or guardians.
a. If a parent/guardian claims a student as a dependent for tax purposes, then either parent/guardian may have access under this provision (34 CFR § 99.31(a)(8)). Neither the student's age nor the custodial parent's status is relevant. Revelation University will assume that a student who is not enrolled in the Bachelor's Degree Completion program or a graduate program is financially dependent unless the student submits written notice to the Registrar's Office within 30 days of the beginning of each period during which they are financially independent. The "Notice of Emancipation" form is available upon request from the Registrar's Office.
b. In the event of serious health problems such as illness, injury, or hospitalization.
c. If a student is under 21 years of age, Revelation University may choose to notify the parent/guardian of disciplinary violations related to alcohol or controlled substances, or when a student is suspended or expelled. In disciplinary matters, parents are notified only after it has been determined that students are responsible for a violation of Revelation University's rules or standards. In all matters, the context of individual circumstances is considered when deciding whether to contact parents. Whenever possible, students will be given the opportunity and encouraged to discuss the situation with their parents before being notified by the institution. (¶99.31 (a)15 of the FERPA Rules).
2. To school officials with legitimate educational interests in the information.
A school official is an officer employed by the institution in an administrative, supervisory, academic, or research position, or as a support staff member (including security and nursing officers); a person or company that the institution has retained as its agent to provide a service instead of using the institution's employees or officers (such as attorneys, auditors, or collection agencies); a person serving on the Board of Trustees; or a student serving on an official committee, such as the Student Discipline Committee, or assisting another school official in the performance of their duties. A school official has a legitimate educational interest if they need to review an educational record in order to fulfill their professional responsibilities.
3. To officials of another institution where the student is currently enrolled or intends to enroll.
4. To any agency to which the student has applied for or received financial aid, or that has made decisions regarding eligibility, amount, condition, or compliance with the terms of financial aid.
5. To certain educational agencies and institutions as permitted by law.
6. To comply with a court order or subpoena.
7. To protect the health or safety of the student or others in an emergency situation.
Revelation University may disclose directory information without consent. Directory information is data that is generally not considered harmful or an invasion of privacy to publish. Its primary purpose is to allow Revelation University to include this type of information in certain school publications such as the yearbook, graduation program, etc. This information may include: student name, address, telephone numbers, email address, date and place of birth, field of study, dates of attendance, whether full-time or part-time; course schedule, photograph, degree, honors and awards received, academic activities, other institutions attended, and other similar data. Any student who does not wish their information to be published in the directory must notify the Registrar's Office in writing within 30 days of the first day of each semester. The "Do Not Publish Information in Directory" form is available upon request from the Registrar's Office.
Right to file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Education if you believe Revelation University has violated the FERPA rule.

Revelation University Inc. promotes the inclusion of people with disabilities in its activities by eliminating barriers, such as physical, communication, and attitudinal obstacles, that hinder students, faculty, and staff from fully participating in university services. Students with hearing impairments or other physical disabilities will receive the necessary support to succeed. All facilities meet accessibility requirements for people with disabilities.
SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER SECURITY MANAGEMENT
Revelation University Inc., in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 186 of September 1, 2006, as amended, uses students' Social Security numbers confidentially for identity verification and for the allocation of state and federal financial aid. The Social Security number is not used as a student identification number. Each student is assigned a student identification number upon admission.
Social Security information remains confidential in the student's academic and electronic record, under the custody of the Registrar's Office.
The Social Security number is never used on lists, directories, transcripts, certifications, or identification cards.

• The preservation and conservation of historical data and information.
• Compliance with legal requirements imposed on the institution by federal and state laws and regulations, as well as those of accrediting agencies.

Procedure
Collection and storage of documents in the admissions office
• The admissions office collects the necessary documents for student admission and creates a physical and digital record in the student database system.
• The admissions office is responsible for verifying the authenticity of the documents submitted by the student and will follow up on any outstanding documentation.
• Both the physical and digital records originate from the admissions office system.
• Data related to the student's academic record, such as enrollment information, courses passed, withdrawals, and transcripts, are stored in the database from admission to the institution until graduation.
• The registrar's office records all academic information for students, such as enrollment, courses passed, withdrawals, academic program, transcripts, honors, and academic progress, among others. All student transcripts are stored in the database. The registrar's office digitizes each academic document to maintain complete student information.
• The institution has an information system that manages the database and is responsible for the backup system for all registered data. This data is stored externally to ensure data protection.
• The technology department maintains a backup system using an external hard drive, where all data is copied weekly. Preservation and Security of Academic Records
• The admissions office keeps all physical files until all documents have been submitted. Incomplete files remain in the admissions office until they are completed.
• The admissions office is responsible for digitizing the files of admitted students and then submitting them to the registrar's office.
• The registrar's office keeps all completed academic records of active, inactive, and graduated students, and is also responsible for digitizing all documents submitted to this office. Academic records are kept under lock and key in fireproof filing cabinets located in the records room at the main office in Miami.
The Revelation University Board of Trustees has decided that all student records will be kept for a minimum of five years, after which they will be destroyed (burned), with the exception of individual graduate records, which will be kept permanently.
STUDENT IDENTITY VERIFICATION AND PRIVACY IN ONLINE COURSES
Revelation University Inc. enrolls only students who are registered for a course in its Moodle courses. The student's institutional email address and student ID number are used to identify a student in the course. The name the student uses to enroll at the institution is also used for the student's Moodle account. Moodle will implement the Software and System in such a way that Revelation University's data files and information, as determined by the standard practices of the platform software used, are secure against unauthorized access by third parties. In the event that security breaches are discovered in the System, the technology department will remedy them immediately. Furthermore, the platform acknowledges and understands that certain data files and information uploaded to the Software are confidential and protected by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), 20 U.S.C. § 1232g. 34 CFR Part 99. The platform software, in compliance with FERPA, will ensure that any FERPA-protected information is secure from unauthorized individuals, meaning individuals who have not received permission to use the System from University Administrators. Revelation University will be responsible for ensuring that text and documentation entered by end users comply with FERPA and will not invite unauthorized individuals to the System.

SEXUAL AND GENDER HARASSMENT
Revelation University Inc. is committed to providing a safe and healthy educational and work environment in which no member of the University community is excluded from participation, denied benefits, or subjected to discrimination in any University program or activity on the basis of sex. Sexual and gender-based harassment, including sexual violence, are forms of sex discrimination because they violate the dignity due to all people and deny or limit a person's ability to participate in or benefit from University programs or activities. Those who violate the University's harassment and discrimination policies are subject to disciplinary action. The University reserves the right to maintain policies based on biblical standards.
It is Revelation University's policy to support the reporting of sexual or discriminatory incidents. Violations of this policy may result in actions that may include, but are not limited to, dismissal or suspension, as determined by the appropriate management.
